Is the Glycemic Index Diet Plan For Everybody?

At some point in our lives most of us decide we need to eat a better diet to improve our health.

Perhaps we want to lose weight, or some may want to gain weight. Some folks may want to build muscle mass, while others would just like to keep the muscles they have already. Whatever our health goals are, it would not seem that one diet plan would be right for everybody, or would it? If true physical health is our goal, and we're not just looking for a "quick fix" because we think we're too fat or too skinny, then it could very well be true that there is one diet that would fit just about everybody.

If your goal is to be as healthy as possible then your diet should help you to achieve optimal weight, shouldn't it? I mean, it's pretty hard to figure you are healthy if you're a hundred pounds overweight, isn't it?

Here are the reasons I believe that a Glycemic Index Diet Plan is right for everybody...

** If you're looking to lose weight, following a Glycemic Index Diet Plan will burn about a pound and a half of pure fat off your body every single week.

** If your goal is to add muscle mass the same diet will help you maintain your hormonal system at peak efficiency which makes your workouts much more effective.

** If your goal is ultimate health and longevity, keeping your hormonal system operating at its peak efficiency will give your immune system the boost it needs to slow down the hands of time. You'll feel younger and look younger, therefore you ARE younger, for all practical purposes.

** Last, but not least... If maintaining healthy blood sugar levels to alleviate the problems associated with type 1 or type 2 diabetes is your goal - following a Glycemic Index Diet Plan should be high on your list of priorities.

Let's not confuse the subject of healthy dieting with generic terms like low carb diet, or low carb diet program. That just gives a truly healthy diet that takes into consideration the glycemic index of carbs a bad rap.

Let's do everybody a favor and say it like it is... "Eating food that breaks down into the simple sugar Glucose so quickly that it causes exaggerated insulin spikes may be hazardous to your health".

There, I said it. Now what are you going to do about it?
