One of the big mistakes that people make when they start a diet plan under their weight loss program is to suddenly reduce their daily food intake to half or even lower. This is like starving your body for food, as it is not used to this sudden fall in intake of food. People think dieting means eating less food. This is not true. Dieting does not mean eating less food, it means eating right food. Another misconception about dieting is that it is temporary, and you are doing it for a particular time phase for losing weight, and once you get in shape, you can leave dieting and still maintain a slim figure. What dieting means is that you have to plan you a balance between nutritious and non nutritious food, so that you can keep a healthy body, while enjoying all the tasty recipes of your choice.

Under no circumstances should you starve yourself for food because not only would it affect your health, you would also not be able to continue with such a dieting plan for long, and ultimately you will be back to your old eating habits, and all your efforts for losing weight would be wasted. There is no need to starve for losing weight. You should understand what type of diet is right for you and try to come out with a diet plan, which has a balance of nutritious diet and at the same it, it also have space for your junk food. This type of diet plan will work for you and you will definitely see its positive results in a long run.
