A Complete Diet Plan for A Healthy Liver

The liver is one of the most important organs in the human body. It is essential because it helps in completing important functions in our body. One sad fact, though, our liver is one of our body's most neglected organs. One good thing is that, despite suffering from uncontrollable alcohol intake and other drugs, still, it is still performing its functions well.

One great help to enhance the health of our liver is through liver detox diet. This is needed so that our liver is cleansed and will be better able to perform its functions well.

The Preparation

Before you begin, you should prepare your body first for the liver detox diet. This means that there is no consumption of fatty food, caffeine, meat, decaf and junk food a week before engaging in this diet program.

The best thing to do is to switch to fresh fruits and fresh vegetables. Alongside with it, you have to increase your water intake and wheat bread. The consumption of sugar should also be lessened. You should also start taking artichoke as well as dandelion supplements. In your diet, you may also include rosemary tea and turmeric powder.

Liver Detox For Seven Days!

Duration: 1st-3rd days

During the first three days, you will have an entirely liquid diet. Drinking 10-12 glasses of water everyday is advised and would be best if paired with fresh lime juice squeezed. Milk, yogurt, milk shakes and other beverages are advised not to be taken at this time.

Fatigue may be felt in the first three days because your system is flushing out the toxins from your body. In order to speed up the elimination process, a little walk or exercise will surely help.

Duration: 4th-6th days

Freshly squeezed fruit juices can now be taken for as long as they are prepared from vegetables and fruits that are organically matured. However, your water intake should be maintained as in the first three days. You may or may not have lemon juice at this phase.

Duration: 7th day

Steamed fresh vegetables and fruits that are organically grown can already be included in your diet. Or better yet, consume them raw. Water intake alongside with rosemary tea should remain the same.

Conclusion

After seven days, you are good to go! This is a perfect and effective liver detox diet. This time, you can switch over to your normal diet gradually. But bear in mind that alcoholic beverages should still be restricted.
