Bet you've tried loads of different diets in your time right? Bet you've also starved yourself, cut out all kinds of food types, chugged down many different types of fat-busting pills that made you sick or blended up disgusting diet shakes that make you nauseous. You ever thought how much money this has all cost you?
I'll also bet a fair amount of money that you're tired of diet companies and the promises they make you that never happen. Regulated or not, this industry is out there to make money and they make a LOT of money by convincing people who really do need help that they have a solution to their problems. Problem is...they generally don't have specific individual tailored solutions.
So are you really being scammed here? Well, to be honest maybe you are in a way. Most diet companies nowadays may have to give a nod to ethics and regulations but that doesn't mean that what they say about their diets should be taken as the gospel truth. They may not actually lie but they sure know how to bend the truth. It's all opinion.
Next time you see some advertising for a brand new diet read the stuff you see real hard. Don't focus on the guarantees, the case studies and the promises that you'll lose weight easily and permanently. Look at the language.
You know if I was selling you a bag of candy I could tell you that it WILL contain candy. But, if I was trying to get you to buy the bag but I didn't actually have the candy I could tell you that it MIGHT contain candy. You'd see the Candy sign on the front and would make an assumption right? This is kind of like diet speak.
So, a diet plan might tell you that you CAN lose weight on this program. Doesn't mean you WILL. It might tell you that MANY people have lost weight this way. Doesn't mean YOU will. It might tell you that you COULD drop xx pounds in a week. And, you've guessed it...doesn't mean YOU WILL!
Do they lie? Probably Not. It's more about tweaking the truth. Don't spend your time and money investing your weight loss dreams into maybes, mights and coulds. You should be looking for something that gives you guarantees that you CAN lose weight easily and permanently. As you've already worked out for yourself you won't get this from a diet plan in 99.9% of the cases.
