Exercise With My New Diet Plan

So you have worked hard and sorted out a new strategy to lose weight and keep it off for life without a struggle. Now its time to think about exercise.

There is no point in walking for 3 hours a day or running for an hour a day, unless you can commit to doing it every day for the rest of your life. Not many of us have that kind of discipline! A small amount of extra exercise will do wonders. If you can total ½ hr extra walking each day that is all you need to do. If you can only do it in 10 minute amounts then that is fine too. Work up to ½ hr slowly over a week or two and don't overdo it. We are talking about a lifetime fix for your weight and health problems here.

As this new eating plan for life requires change, you do need to reward your self often. Some of us embrace change but most of us are uncomfortable with it. If you have been a long time over eater you may find that emotions start to come up and you feel really out of sorts. Be gentle with your self. Do not beat yourself up emotionally for any mistakes. It will take some time to get into your new ways of eating and it will take your body some time to become comfortable.

Use this time of change to get to know your body again. Do some journaling about your feelings. Let every thing out. Take the time to make your meals festive. Light candles and celebrate your new lifestyle. Use the best crystal for your drinks. You deserve it.

Reward yourself with a non food item each week, buy yourself a massage, a new journal, a new piece of jewelry or something that will make you feel really good. Now that you have a great strategy that you can stick to for life...make the most of it and enjoy it to the full.
