Why Many Online Diet Plans Don't Work

There are several online diet plans available on the internet promising you amazing benefits if you try their program. There are also several people who have tried them only to regain weight or not lose weight at all.

Truth is most online diet plans--even many offline diet plans--don't work. Why?

Many Diet Plans Are Unrealistic

Some diet plans set you up for failure. For example, low or no carb plans. Sure, you will lose weight by cutting out carbs, but it often doesn't last. Besides, do you know what a carb is?

Yes, it's bread and crackers and pasta, but it's also fruits, vegetables, rice, and beans. Do you really want to participate in a diet plan that advocates the removal of fruits and vegetables? How boring is it to only eat protein for the rest of your life!

You need carbs for proper bodily function, and fruits and vegetables carry an abundance of vitamins and minerals your body needs. You cannot cut them out and expect to be healthy.

Other diet plans have you counting calories the rest of your life. Some even say that it doesn't matter what you eat as long as you eat a certain amount of calories.

The truth is, you need calories from food for energy, but you need the right kind of calories. The calories from a cupcake are not the same as the calories from a carrot.

The cupcake tastes good and that's it. A carrot tastes good and has vitamin A, selenium, calcium, vitamin B-6, B-12... get it?

Forget unrealistic diets. You need a plan that you will be able to stick with for life and be healthy while on it.

Many Don't Take You into Account

Your body has a certain metabolic type that responds to good food eaten in the correct combinations. Eating the wrong combinations of the right foods will not give you the maximum amount of weight loss.

In addition, you will want to eat food that you like, not the food that a recipe writer likes.

An online diet plan that works is one that is going to give you a plan that you can customize for your body type, likes, and dislikes. It will be flexible enough to allow you the foods you want to eat and avoid the ones you don't.

Many Diets Are Too Restrictive

While it is true that there are some foods that you should stay away from, it doesn't mean you have to stay away from them forever. If a diet plan requires you to remove your favorite foods from your life, you may not be able to stick to it.

There is nothing wrong with a treat now and then if you are eating healthily. An online diet plan that you will be able to stick with is one that will allow the healthy consumption of treats.

If you are stuck in a plan that doesn't work, try something new. Perhaps you just need to focus on eating good food and getting in some exercise. Don't continue on in those online diet plans that don't work. Try a healthier lifestyle instead.
