Lose Up to 10 Pounds in 3 Days - A Step-by-Step Diet Plan

Sometimes we just need to lose some extra weight quickly. Maybe you've got a wedding coming up in a few days and you need to squeeze into an outfit. Or you've been gorging on holiday food and need to drop some pounds that you added recently. Whatever your reason for needing to lose a few pounds quickly, there are many ways to go about it. Here is a great way to lose up to 10 pounds in just 3 days.

This particular diet works on what is referred to as the chemical breakdown principle. It doesn't just have you drinking liquids but actually eating some real foods. But your caloric intake is still very, very low. It is similar in some ways to other popular "cleanse" diets, but is different and more effective.

Here is the breakdown:

First day


Breakfast: You can drink either a cup of black coffee or some tea. No cream or sugar! Also you should eat half of a grapefruit and a piece of whole wheat toast with 2 Tbsp of peanut butter
Lunch: You will eat a 1/2 cup of canned tuna (in water, not oil) and also another piece of whole wheat toast. To drink, have either black coffee or tea
Dinner: This is fairly specific, so follow it closely. You will be eating 7 slices of any meat product, such as deli roast chicken, roast beef, or deli turkey. Along with that you will eat a cup of beets, an apple, a cup of green beans (fresh, not canned, that are steamed), and a cup of vanilla ice cream. Yes, vanilla ice cream. Just trust us on this.

Second day


Breakfast: Once again you'll either drink black coffee or tea. To eat, you will have an egg (hard boiled), 1/2 of a banana, and one slice of whole wheat toast
Lunch: Just have 1 cup of cottage cheese and 3 saltine crackers. We realize this is hardly anything, but this is a diet intended to rapidly lose weight
Dinner: Have 2 hot dogs (no buns), a cup of broccoli, 1/2 cup of carrots, and another cup of vanilla ice cream. At least you get to cap off each dinner with some ice cream!

Third and final day


Breakfast: Mixing it up again, you'll have a slice of cheddar cheese, 3 saltine crackers, an apple, and either black coffee or tea
Lunch: Substitute the cottage cheese from day 2 for a hard boiled egg. Enjoy that along with a slice of whole wheat toast.
Dinner: You're almost done! Have a cup of canned tuna, 1 cup of cauliflower, 1 beet, 1/2 of a cantaloupe, and that final cup of vanilla ice cream.

You made it! Three days of extremely minimal eating and cleansing. Many people have reported weight loss of up to 10 pounds by following this diet exactly. Obviously this is not intended to be a long-term diet plan, but just for quick weight loss. So don't try and double or triple your results by eating like this for a week or longer. I've heard stories of people trying that and then they fall off the wagon so hard that they go back to shoveling more food in their body than they did before and gain more weight back than they lost. Recognize the 3 day limit and be happy with whatever weight you're able to lose in that time.
